Process Chillers

  • Cooling capacity up to 70kW
  • V-Geometry with microchannel technology
  • Scroll compressors
  • Low operating noise levels
  • Free cooling option

Here at Summit Process Cooling, we supply chiller systems for a range of requirements. Designed for efficiency and reliability, our industrial chillers offer a cooling capacity of up to 70kW, to help you meet your manufacturing needs.

As part of this, our ranges come standard with a cross-V-geometry condensing module and an Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV). Using microchannel technology, the module allows for greater modularity of the units, improving air distribution and allowing for greater accessibility of components within your system.

Similarly, the EEV is used to optimise your chiller's gas temperature and evaporation pressure with high accuracy, guaranteeing efficiency.

We appreciate your needs are dependent on the demands of your industry, that’s why we provide and install a range of solutions for every environment. To name a few, our chillers offerings include:

  1. Water-Cooled: Ranging from 100 to 600kW, we provide 12 models to meet the demands of various process cooling applications.
  2. Air Cooled: Providing maximum cooling performance without the need for a condenser water source.
  3. Free Cooling: This cools water using ambient air, reducing energy consumption.
  4. Low GWP: Delivering reliable cooling solutions, while minimising environmental impact.
  5. Energy Efficient: Featuring innovative technology, delivering optimal operation while minimising energy consumption and costs.
  6. Propane: Offering a compact design, while still delivering exceptional energy efficiency.
  7. Centrifugal: Employing centrifugal fans to enhance heat exchange and release heat efficiently.
  8. Condenserless: Delivering process cooling without the need for a separate water source or cooling tower.
  9. Traditional R410: Robust and dependable design, perfect for industrial and commercial environments.

Where space is limited, we provide chiller units of varying sizes to meet your exact specifications. For example, our WLA Chiller is a compact liquid chiller that offers a powerful system in a small space. Features of this unit include:

  1. TW out and T ambient measurement and display
  2. Antifreeze function for evaporator protection
  3. Alarm management: HP
  4. General alarm free contact
  5. Fine temperature control function (hysteresis ± 1K)
  6. Dynamic set point function

The WLA is available in various models, with a standard bifrequency power supply of 50/60Hz. Our 50Hz models are available in cooling capacities up to 5,05kW, while our 60Hz models are suitable for a cooling capacity up to 5,66kW.

Made from electric panels in accordance with EN60204-1 and an atmospheric hydraulic circuit made from non-ferrous materials, the panels of these chillers are easily removable to allow for maintenance operations and guarantee a long-lasting solution. Find out more via the datasheet below.

For more demanding environments, our MRM industrial-grade water chillers are available in a cooling capacity range from 13 to 70kW, with water working temperatures ranging from 0°C to 25°C.

Suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, these units utilise circuits with ozone-friendly refrigerant R410A, axial-flow fans and a microchannel full-aluminium condenser. Features of this unit include:

  1. A scroll compressor and 1 refrigerant circuit, with R410A refrigerant
  2. High and low-pressure gauges
  3. High-efficiency microchannel aluminium condenser
  4. Available in AC, EC, or EH fan types to meet various applications
  5. Brazed-Plate or Shell-and-Tube evaporator type
  6. Multiple water configurations available

The MRS chiller offers a reduced footprint, and its FC version allows you to save more than 60% of energy through an integrated free cooler. Find out more via the datasheet below.

Applications of Our Process Cooling Chillers

Our systems are used across a wide range of sectors, including:

  1. Injection Moulding: These are used to cool hot molten plastic, enabling it to solidify and flow for shaping.
  2. Metalworking, Machine Tools and Laser Pressers: Cooling equipment to prevent overheating during high-speed, high-temperature operations. They also stabilise the temperature of laser sources for consistent performance, and cool parts down in metalworking to reduce thermal stress.
  3. Pharmaceutical and Medical Sectors: Crucial for controlling temperatures during manufacturing and storing sensitive products. Here, chillers maintain precise, constant conditions, preventing the degradation of medicines.
  4. Food and Beverage Sectors: Used to maintain specific, low temperatures during production, ensuring product quality by preventing bacterial growth. They are also used in cooling baked goods, in milk cooling systems, and for beverage carbonation.
  5. Oil and Gas: Preventing overheating and helping to condense gases and vapours during refinement and extraction processes.

Each of these applications may require a different chiller to optimally serve its function. Here at Summit Process Cooling, we provide a wide range of products intended for every application. For help identifying which solution best suits your needs, get in touch with our expert team.
