Success for Summit Systems: Crowned winners at PIA Awards!

Summit celebrates being winners at PIA awards 2018 having won for Supplier Partnership: Ancillary Equipment for the Polymer Training & Innovation Centre project
The Plastics Industry Awards took place on Friday 27th October at Hilton on Park Lane. Launched in 2001 and held annually in London, the PIA Awards are dedicated to rewarding innovation and exceptional performance in an increasingly competitive market.
Formerly having won the prestigious award eight times, the winning streak was broken in 2014 with Summit narrowly missing out on the title.
The project was headed up by Technical Sales Engineer Steve Tranter and Project Manager Richard Dean. The project focused on providing the training centre with the best machinery possible to ensure all students have the best in-depth training experience while focusing on maximum efficiency and more economical equipment.

The award was presented by TV presenter Nick Knowles, in front of approx. 700 plastic industry professionals. Summit’s MD, Mike Jordan and Technical Sales Engineer Steve Tranter accepted the award, with judges commenting on an ‘impressive and industry encouraging’ entry.
MD Mike Jordan comments “We should all be very proud. It’s a team effort and this is a great sign for the next 12 months as we improve and develop our business.”
Summit Systems was established in 1989 and is now the market leader in the plastics ancillary sector, meeting customers’ needs for more efficient and less wasteful production.
