COVID-19 Customer Update: April

02 April 2020

First of all, I hope you are making the best of this situation and staying safe at this incredibly challenging time.

I wanted to update you all and explain how the crisis is impacting SUMMIT SYSTEMS Ltd and to reassure you of our continued operation and support.

New Equipment Orders, Consumable Orders & Spare Part Orders Despite the current situation SUMMIT SYSTEMS remains open, whilst adhering to all Government guidelines of home working and social distancing. Many of our products are used in industries considered ‘essential’ by the UK Government, such as packaging, medical and pharmaceutical so we're receiving orders as normal and processing them as efficiently as possible. We continue to work closely with our supply chain to minimise disruption and maintain our quick deliveries which so far are unaffected.

So please continue to place orders as soon as possible to ensure we can meet your lead time requirements

Customer Site Visits Our service team remains available for installations, breakdowns, repairs and Planned maintenance contracts as this is defined as essential business travel. All our field-based team will follow the hygiene guidelines outlined by the Government. However, as you would expect, if during a customer visit any of our team feels a site is not taking the necessary hygiene precautions, they are encouraged to voice concerns and if necessary, leave that site.

Due to the obvious lower demand we are encouraging our customers that have lower production to utilise the time to service machines ready for a return to full production, we are happy to discuss extended payment if required. For those customers who are flat out and may have reduced maintenance staff we are available to step in and support your team to ensure production is maintained. If you have Maintenance contracts due over the next 3 months please talk to us about bringing them forward and adjusting the payment terms to suit.

On behalf of everyone at SUMMIT SYSTEMS I thank you for your continued support during these difficult times and please rest assured that we remain committed to supporting your business.

Let’s take care of each other.

Best Regards,
Mike Jordan
