Introducing Nick McComb

Nick’s professional career began 14 years ago as an injection moulding tool setter, progressing to an injection moulding process engineer. "I've had the privilege of working with many different manufacturers of injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment," Nick reflects. This extensive hands-on experience has provided him with a deep understanding of the industry’s intricacies and challenges. 

When asked about what drew him to Summit Systems, "The broad portfolio of equipment and the ability to offer complete solutions to customers' production issues or automation requests were major attractions for me. Plus, having great equipment to promote across multiple industries alongside a strong team was a compelling factor." 

Strengths in Innovation and Collaboration 

Nick’s key strengths lie in his collaborative nature and innovative thinking. "I enjoy working as a collective team with the customer to build their visions and bring them to life. My strong background in process engineering across various sectors and my ability to think outside the box allow me to create bespoke and unique turnkey solutions." 

Nick’s notable accomplishments, such as successfully implementing complex projects and devising innovative problem-solving strategies, underscore his value to the team. "I plan to leverage these strengths by closely collaborating with customers to develop and deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific needs," he says. 

The Excitement of New Possibilities 

Joining at the inception of Summit Dynamic Solutions, Nick is enthusiastic about the boundless opportunities that lie ahead. "What excites me most is the ability to never say no to our customer's enquiries, thanks to our ever-growing portfolio of renowned ancillary equipment and technical expertise." 

Nick envisions his role in the new material handling division as a blend of his past experiences and new learnings. "My contribution will be utilising what I've learned throughout my career and combining that with the knowledge from my newfound colleagues at Summit Systems. This will help us create the best cost-effective, energy-efficient, and beneficial solutions." 

Beyond the Professional Sphere 

When he's not immersed in work, Nick’s personal life is just as dynamic. "Most of my time out of work is spent with my children. I also enjoy mountain biking and am a keen DIY enthusiast, working on my home whenever I get the opportunity." These hobbies not only help him unwind but also keep his innovative spirit alive.
