Summit Systems at Interplas 2017, we’ll be there!

We’re extremely excited to return to the NEC for our tenth appearance at Interplas! Summit Systems has taken the opportunity to exhibit at every event since being founded in 1989, returning with a stronger, more dynamic presence each time.

Summit Systems’ strong portfolio and new makeover:
Market leaders Summit Systems supply the World’s most innovative ancillary technology. Not being locked into one manufacturer allows us to supply the very best equipment available for your application. This means we can give you the edge over your competition by developing bespoke solutions that make your production faster, more efficient and considerably less wasteful.

Our 2017 stand will feature our range of top equipment from World class manufacturers, plus a few surprises to reveal our new makeover which we’ve been working hard on all year!
Managing Director Mike Jordan comments “Having spent over two and a half decades scouring the world for new technologies, we now have an incredibly strong portfolio for our clients to choose between and Interplas is the number one event to showcase these products.”

We have a couple of new faces within the Summit team who are extremely excited to experience their first Interplas, as well as our strong technical sales team who are looking forward to welcoming current and future customers to the stand.

Alongside our top equipment, our stand will feature a unique and private hospitality area where customers can meet with our technical sales team to discuss current or future business, whilst sipping on a nice strong coffee or of course, some bubbles!

In line with our ‘new look’, we’ll have some promotional gifts to help you through those icy winter months! Visit us in Hall 4, stand E30 from 26th – 28th September to find out more.

If you wish to book an appointment in advance with one of our technical sales engineers, please email and we’ll happily arrange a suitable time for you.
We’ve been doing this for 28 years now, so pop by to see how our drying, dosing, blending and conveying machinery can help you. We look forward to seeing you in September!

Wheelie bin storage – how to make the most of it

Disposing of waste can be a time-consuming task and is preferred to be executed with efficiency and ease. Particularly in an industrial environment where time is money, wheelie bin storage can be an unwanted and unwelcomed issue.

The team here at Summit Systems are proud manufacturers of material storage bins, vacuum loaders and more. Summit offer an integrated service with a cohesive operational system that makes waste disposal and wheelie bin storage a quick, fuss-free duty.

Customisable wheelie bins at Summit Systems

Storage space is a common wheelie bin issue. They can consume valuable space (and many businesses often sacrifice the quality of their waste storage solutions for this reason). Summit Systems’ wheelie bins can be manufactured bespoke to their application and, as a result, do not require unnecessary space.

Extra features exclusive to Summit Systems wheelie bins include:

  • Colour coded lids
  • An abundance of inlet options
  • Various shapes and sizes
  • A handle bar for easy usage

Cost effective, industrial bin solutions

For industrial use, there are two main waste disposal solutions: galvanized/metal bins or polymer-based plastic storage bins. Due to our extensive experience over the years, Summit Systems have developed a range of bins that have a selection of benefits:

  • Easy clean process – plastic bins can be hosed down with ease and efficiency. In addition, the process of cleaning them does not need to take place as regularly as metal bins. Nevertheless, it is important to ensure that all waste disposal bins are cleaned at regular intervals to ensure maximum longevity.
  • Chemical resistance – it is important that wheelie bins used in industrial applications are robust and chemically resistant. The plastic material utilised is resilient to a broad range of chemicals. If a business is using a metal wheelie bin on the shop floor, the constant exposure to different chemicals can cause the material to degrade which can overtime become costly.
  • Reasonably priced – our limited stock, wheelie bin storage solutions start at only £77. This is an extremely cost effective solution to an everyday issue. Speak to a Technical Sales Engineer today to find out what you can do to reduce cost and increase the efficiency of your working environment.

The development of our expertise over the years has allowed us to develop a broad range of high quality products. Find out more about our storage solutions by clicking here.

The Best Company To Work For In The Plastics Industry!

Summit Systems has been crowned one of ‘The Best Companies to Work for in the Plastic Industry’. The award was presented at last week’s PDM exhibition in Telford during an exclusive prize giving lunch.

Summit Systems Managing Director, Mike Jordan says:

“This is a fantastic achievement for the Summit Systems team, who make our business such a great place to work. I am fortunate to be surrounded by such a positive culture which encourages performance and ensures our people enjoy coming to work.”

The best company to work for awards are organised by PRW and Best Companies Group. The programme is designed to recognise outstanding places of employment in UK Plastics. Entry comprises a survey completed by Summit Systems (worth 25% of marks) and one completed by a random sample of company employees (75% of marks), which are used to produce the industry ranking.

Mike Jordan continues:

“Most of the ranking is based on what our staff think about us which makes it so much more meaningful. We have a great team with many staff having been with us for a decade or more. It’s a real honour to work with such a dedicated group of people.”

In a week of highs, Mike Jordan was also personally recognised for his contribution to UK plastics by making the ‘PRW Most Influential People in Plastics’ list. The 70 strong list, unveiled at PDM, consists of individuals whom PRW readers and a panel of experts believe have had the most impact on the sector in the past 12 months.

Mike Jordan opened Summit Systems for business in 1989 to help manufacturers increase production and efficiency by providing plastics ancillary equipment, installations and aftersales services. Today it is sole distributor for many products in the UK providing clients with solutions that best matches their needs rather than being tied in to a particular brand or system.

Summit Systems was the first plastic ancillary supplier to provide 24/7 support, boasts the highest number of regionally based engineers and has the highest volume of stock available on a next day delivery. Most equipment is provided under warranty.
